SCRC News
Well we saw the NCR D1AA quarterfinals produce a few nailbiters, and it's likely we'll see more with the semifinals.
The Kentucky Wildcats won the SCRC final thanks to a fairly emphatic second half 32-12 over Tennessee Saturday.
NCR's DIAA playoff roster is clearing up.
Here's who made what seed:
The Liberty Conference champion is Boston College, with UMass runner-up. Both will be in the quarterfinals November 18 with BC hosting and, likely, UMass on the road.
Virginia Tech secured the MARC title over West Chester.
Kentucky staked its claim to being the top side in the SCRC and, perhaps, the whole of D1AA in the fall with a 40-25 defeat of South Carolina.
With that win and Tennessee’s very close 31-29 victory over Alabama the SCrC semifinals are set for two weeks hence.
In what might be a bit of a surprise result, Clemson edged Tennessee 27-26 over the weekend in SCRC action.
Clemson was coming off a recent loss to Kentucky and a 51-12 loss to Penn State, meaning there was some question as to where they might fit in a very competitive SCRC.
