Th US Naval Academy put in one of their best defensive efforts Saturday and seem to have turned the corner as they shut out Dartmouth 29-0.
After giving up 151 points in three straight games either side of the Winter Break, Navy held Clemson to ten points on February 19 and now have a shutout to point to.
The US Naval Academy's Varsity Cup buildup got a nice shot in the arm with two wins over the weekend.
Navy took on the Glendale men's club, and won 40-17.
It was what Head Coach Mike Flanagan called "a really good defensive effort coming off a hard, focused week."
NEW YORK – The Varsity Cup has released the brackets for its 2017 playoff today, Feb. 22.
Fourteen well-regarded college teams will compete in a four-weekend playoffs. Two teams - the top finishers from 2016 that remain in the competition - will get a bye.

The US Naval Academy has announced it will hold its first ever camp for high school boys.
The camp will run June 19-22, and will be for boys 13 to 17 years old.
Campers will learn and develop basic skills, contact skills, scrummaging, other set piece, and game awareness from members of the USNA coaching staff, overseen by Head Coach Mike Flanagan.
