The US Naval Academy and Davenport opened up the Mid-South Conference season with Davenport traveling to Annapolis this weekend.
The Mid-South plays most of its season in the spring, but with the snows slow to melt in Michigan, Davenport likes to log a couple of league games in the fall, and this was one of them.

As usual, the 1st XV plays in D1A, while the 2nd team will mix in JV teams and 1st teams from other positions. Navy's 3rds have of late been playing in the Cardinals DII Conference, but this year will sometimes play a 2nd or 3rd XV from a DI program, or play lower-division opposition.
