GRR: Marin Highlanders
Northern California's club regular season officially kicked off with the first Premier League game, but there was some other action of note, too.
Marin, by two first-half tries from No. 8 Tomasso Visentin and two second-half tries from wing Matt Reilly defeated Mother Lode 54-12 to open their league account.
Northern California's single-school competition is now in full swing and things are already feeling a little shaken up.
As always the Storer Classic provides some important preseason rugby for teams in the West, and this year did not disappoint.

Needless to say, although we're still saying it, it was a defensive battle.
And yes, certainly, DLS has some injuries and unavailabilities, but they expected to beat Marin ... which may have been the issue all along.
Granite Bay, Marin, and Danville all won in impressive fashion in Northern California's Premier HS league this weekend.
In addition, De La Salle won via forfeit over Lamorinda.
Danville over SFGGSFGG has been enjoying a very strong season but they ran up against an oak tree on Saturday, with Danville winning 55-5.
