It's semifinal time in Women's D1A Rugby.
The home teams held on to advance in the Eastern Bracket of the D1A playoffs and defense was part of the story.
Winning teams held their opponents to a total of five tries. That doesn't mean the games weren't competitive. One was a major runaway, but for the most part the lower seeds provided a tough challenge.
Just to shake things up, Lindenwood pulled off a road victory over Life University in Women's D1A action.
The D1A semifinals loom and it looks as though Life will be the #1 seed regardless, but the result was still important as both teams target another meeting in the Women's D1A (formerly D1 Elite) final.
