GRR: Ivy League
A couple more games remain in the Ivy League but it’s essentially over as Dartmouth is again the class of the competition.
Brown University are once again the top women's team in the Ivy League, moving to 5-0 and clinching first with a 55-14 defeat of Princeton Saturday.
That sets them up for the top seed going into the Ivy Championships Nov 1-2.
No one ever accused the Ivy League of being predictable. The women’s DI conference started interestingly enough, as varsity teams Brown and Harvard battled to a 24-15 decision (in Brown’s favor), but akin to seasons past, the upsets are far from over.
Dartmouth remains unbeaten in the Ivy League with a comprehensive 44-10 defeat of Penn Saturday in a weekend that will see both Dartmouth and Princeton play twice.
The Big Green got tries from Ryan Maguire, Zack Fowler, Benji Hannam (who scored two), Chris Oberg, Ollie Engelhart< Max Parker and Michael McDavid.
It’s all very tight in the Ivy League after just a few games, but things could change after this weekend.
