The French U17 team have defeated the USA High School All American U17s 65-6 at the Field of Honor at the Centre National de Rugby in Marcoussis, France Tuesday.
With less than 48 hours to prepare the HSAA team had a lot of prep work to fit in in not much time, and battled through the first, and probably toughest, game of their European tour.
The High School All American U17 team is already hard at work at the Centre National de Rugby in Marcoussis south of Paris, and they better be, as they have just a day to prepare to face the France U17s program at the French Federation de Rugby HQ.
The USA High School All Americans finished Day 1 of the Rosslyn Park 7s 2-2 in pool play.
In a demanding schedule where the teams played once every hour, the US team started their effort with a solid 28-12 win over Nottingham HS. They then were tripped up 14-12 against Cowbridge Comprehensive before losing 33-0 to Ysgol Gyfun Y Strade from Wales.
The HS All American 7s team set for the Rosslyn Park 7s, which kids off March 26, looks a little different from the squad that lost in the final of the Las Vegas Invitational in February.
USA Rugby Announcement BOULDER, Colo. – The USA Rugby Boys High School All-Americans will leave for Rosslyn Park HSBC National Schools Sevens Saturday, March 21, where Salty Thompson’s team will compete against some of the finest schools from around the world for the fourth consecutive year.
