GRR: Eagle Men
The USA Men’s Eagles have confirmed 31 names to the traveling player pool to kick off this month’s Pacific Nations Cup, the programs first venture into the newly reformed global competition.
It’s almost as if there are two test match seasons in 2024.
The upcoming Pacific Nations Cup will look, potentially, quite different from July’s two matches with Romania and Scotland, and in the end that’s to be expected.
Scotland defeated the USA 42-7 Friday night at Audi Field in Washington DC.
The game was played in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 17,418, and they saw a Scottish side that punished USA mistakes, didn’t miss their kicks at goal, and got a little bit of the rub of the green from the guy with the whistle.
USA Men’s Eagles Head Coach Scott Lawrence has made several changes to the lineup as the USA faces Scotland Friday night in Washington DC.
The game, part of the 2024 American Series presented by USA Rugby and AEG Rugby, kicks off at 6:30PM and will be live on FloRugby.
Romania held on to defeat the USA 22-20 Friday night at Seat Geek Stadium in Chicago thanks in large part to a series of errors by the hosts that killed any sort of momentum they hoped to get in the second half.
