GRR: Eagle Men
This Sevens World Series season has, for the USA, been partly a period of finding new solutions in the forwards.
Fiji defeated the USA 31-26 in overtime of the Cup Quarterfinals in the Canada 7s in Vancouver, taking advantage of a couple of lucky breaks to break some USA hearts.
Seth Halliman threw a sublime long pass to Perry Baker to allow the USA wing to score his 5th try of Day One of the Canada 7s in Vancouver, BC, but that single example of what could be was only what could have been, as it finished off a 17-5 loss to New Zealand.
With Carlin Isles running track, the USA Men's 7s team has asked Perry Baker to put in a full 14 minutes on the wing; the result so far has been wins over France and England, and four tries.
Baker notched his second double Saturday at the Canada 7s in Vancouver, BC as the Eagles edged England 17-12.
Well that was quick.
Seth Halliman made his debut for the USA 7s team in the squad’s opening game of the Canada 7s, and it didn’t take long for him to make an impact.
