Ivies Celebrate 3 Important Wins
It was a triumphant weekend for the women’s Ivy League. Dartmouth, the third conference team to go varsity, opened up league play with a 77-5 win over Penn today, while Harvard and Brown celebrated important non-conference victories on Saturday.
Another Comeback Win for Army
Army (2-0) is the leading contender for “best dramatic performance,” winning its second comeback victory in as many weeks. Following a three-point win over AIC, the Cadets overcame a three-score deficit against Quinnipiac (1-1) to win 29-24.

The DI scene picks up this weekend, as teams in the varsity, ACRA, and independent realms play some important games.
Sacred Heart: From NSCRO to DI
Sacred Heart University has made quite the leap. This time last year, the Pioneers were competing in NSCRO and advanced to the championship against fellow small college Roger Williams. Today, Sacred Heart is an NCAA DI varsity program facing the likes of Notre Dame College, AIC, and Norwich. That’s a sharp uptick in competition, but fortunately, the program has Michelle Reed at the helm.
Central Wash Plays Coast-to-Coast This Fall
Central Washington has built a diverse schedule this fall. The DI program has booked some East Coast and top-tier women’s club matches while also playing a full Pacific Mountain Rugby Conference (PMRC) lineup. That’s 11 games over seven weekends for the national 7s and 15s runner-up.
