Magee Praises Army Effort
There’s no doubt that Collum Magee is a big part of the Army rugby success this season, as the flanker and co-captain continues to make big tackles and test defenses.
But Saturday was a special time for him, as he scored two tries, including the game-winner over Kutztown with time running out.
AIC Clinches ECRC
With AIC's 45-20 defeat of Middlebury, the ECRC conference season is complete. AIC finishes 1st, while Middlebury, which had a shot at 1st, slips to 4th.
Middlebury ended the season 4-2, but so did BC and UMass. Both teams ended the season with big victories, and thus get past the Panthers on points difference.
North Texas Keeps Rolling
North Texas University slammed Rice to the tune of 89-8 to remain undefeated in the Southwest Conference.
UNT is now 4-0 and has outscored opponents 227-27.
Dayton Pulls Off Big Win in MAC
Dayton University came back twice to beat Miami of Ohio to clinch the Mid-America Conference South Division with a 21-16 victory Saturday.
With Western Michigan defeating Central Michigan 20-12, and Bowling Green defeating Cincinnati, the playoff matchups are set - Dayton will take on WMU, a team they beat earlier this season, and Bowling Green will play Miami.
Big Ten Down to WireThe battle for the playoff spots in the Big Ten Universities conference is still on even after the penultimate games of the regular season. Indiana remains undefeated, sitting at 5-0 after beating Michigan State 69-13 Saturday. Jake Hidalgo scored five tries in the game. Indiana has one more game, against Purdue in two weeks, to finish unbeaten.
