GRR: Cam Dolan
A couple of notes about Cam Dolan.
Cam Dolan will earn his 50th cap when he runs on against Argentina in the Rugby World Cup, and it's a well-deserved milestone.
The former Naples Bears HS player, who went on to play for Life University and captain the USA U19s and U20s, Dolan played in all four 2015 Rugby World Cup games, but didn't start in any of them.
The USA Men’s 15s team only had to score a converted try at the end of their game with the Argentina XV to win the Americas Rugby Championship.
They did that, putting David Tameilau over under the posts and having Ben Cima slot to kick to get a bonus-point tie, just enough to win it all. The thing is, nobody knew that was going to be enough.
The USA Men’s National Team overcame a somewhat sloppy first half and patiently waited out a hard-tackling Brazil team to win 51-3 Saturday night at Dell Diamond Stadium in Austin, Texas.
The win puts the Eagles at 2-0 in the Americas Rugby Championship, and earned the USA a much-needed bonus point in th ARC standings.
Regulation 9 in World Rugby says that clubs must release players who have been called up to international duty, but that rule only applies to specific times of the year.
