Player Spotlight: The Avery Morgan Journey
The West ADA Girls 7s league is moving along in Idaho, and while we Eagle remains a tough team to fly with, Mountain View is flying almost as high; one reason for that is Avery Morgan.
Mountain View bounced back from a 1-1 start to beat upstarts Owyhee in Week 2 and Centennial and Rocky Mountain in Week 3 to improve to 4-1. (Eagle is 5-1 after beating Owyhee and Meridian this week).
Mountain View Girls Tough it Out to Lead Idaho League
Mountain View improved to 4-0 in the Idaho Girls 15s league, but it was a hard-won trek to 4-0.
The Meridian, Idaho team seemed to be breezing through the season early on, beating local rivals Meridian HS 62-12 in their opener and handling Eagle 27-17 and Rocky Mountain 29-14. But injuries were piling up.

Mountain View moved to 3-0 in Rugby Idaho with a convincing win over the Renegades on Monday.
With the 50-19 result, Mountain View remains unbeaten, and has already logged a victory over their closest competitors, Rocky Mountain.
Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain, who lost 30-29 to Mountain View two weeks ago, handed Capital HS a 62-5 defeat.
Mountain View Holds Off Rocky Mountain in Idaho
Week Two in Rugby Idaho saw an epic battle of the mountains. Rocky Mountain and Mountain View clashed in a repeat of last year's Idaho State Championship. It took 68 minutes for the returning champs to take the lead over the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies in this game that came down to the finish.

Rugby Idaho kicks off its season and it promises to be a good one.
Teams around the state are loaded with big numbers and improving athletes, and this state could be the next one to be a rugby hotbed.
Capital, Mountain View, and Rocky Mountain lead the chase right now, but there are other teams, such as Eagle, Bingham, and Nampa, that have over 40 players registered already.
