Duluth Champions Again
University of Minnesota-Duluth may have struggled in a difficult semifinal on Saturday, and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater may have looked explosive in the semis, but in the end the struggle was what it was all about as Duluth held off Whitewater 25-19 to win the Penguins’ third straight national men’s DII college championship.
Whitewater Has More to Give
There is no team in the Men’s DII College semis that has been better prepared by its own competition than Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Tested in WIIL, Whitewater Shines
The fall, 2015 season started with Wisconsin-Whitewater Head Coach Matt Pederson saying his team was in the toughest conference in men’s DII college rugby, and that was before Northern Iowa and Lindenwood-Belleville had played their first games in the WIIL.
