GRR: Rugby Texas
While we have touched on a few leagues and contests around the nation, there’s more to cove.
Scores Around the Nation
So here goes:
Snow and cold weather hit a few parts of the country not ued to it, so we had a few cancelations and postponements.
The Louisiana teams battled through some snow, although we did have one game moved to later because of the snow. Bless their hearts down there in the bayou but they don't really have the resources to handle a snowstorm.
It's early days but we have some high-profile games in boys HS rugby in January already.
Friday night brings us the clash of undefeateds in North Carolina's school league with the upstart Charlotte Catholic against the more established Hough Huskies. (Rescheduled to Jan 28 due to weather.)
The United States Rugby Foundation's Ball-4-All program will be announcing its 2025 recipients and at GRR we thought it would be fun to see what impact those awards have had on their program.
As has been mentioned in GRR this winter, there are several new school teams taking the field this year.
Others are just consolidating their presence, moving up a division or solidifying their relationship with their school.
In Northern California, two new school teams faced off against each other.
