Let's look at the candidates: Navy: Remember, losing to Cal doesn't negate their body of work. The Midshipmen ran the table in Rugby East, beating Life and Notre Dame College in the process, and also beat Army (who, you'll remember, beat Army last week). Does one loss knock them off?
Men D1AA College Rankings Week 21 So not a lot of changes in these rankings. Things slow down in terms of volume of matches but they raise the importance level. So, really, coming up, we have these big games: March 23 San Jose State vs American River St. Thomas vs Florida State March 30 St.

Well they held onto #1.
Kentucky jumped to #1 in Week 8 and held tightly onto it after that. In fact, they weren't really challenged all that much.
And really there wasn't that much change in the top-ranked teams in D1AA this fall. Here's a look at the journey of the top four.
NCR D1 Fall 2023 Rankings Final Week
Well we had a bunch of stuff happen, didn't we?
In the end, the rankings held up pretty well. Notre Dame College, which we moved to #1 at Week 10, was indeed the best team in NCR's D1. St. Bonaventure or Brown? Well we knew it was close, and it turned out to be. Bonnies beat Brown by two points and we're not too bothered that Brown was ranked one spot ahead at #2.
