OU Handles Tech, Keps Rolling

The University of Oklahoma continued their winning ways with a 47-17 victory over Texas Tech in Red River Conference action.

Tech fell behind 14-0 with two tries by wing Manny Soto, converted by Thomas Chinellato. But after OU captain Michael Al-Jiboori was sin-binned they perked up and scored two tries to get to 14-10.

But OU rebounded.

Sooners Comfortable Over Texas

The University of Oklahoma Sooners impressively pushed aside the Texas Longhorns to move to 3-0 in the DIA Red River Conference Friday in Dallas.

The final score was 45-24, but it wasn’t really that close as Oklahoma led 38-3 in the second half before Texas made a late run.

Sooners, Longhorns Win

Oklahoma and Texas are 2-0 in the Red River Conference after the Sooners scored half a hundred on Texas A&M, and the Longhorns defeated Baylor.

Texas beat Baylor 48-13, in a game that Head Coach Chris Hopps said was underwhelming.

“We were inconsistent with flashes of solid play,” said Hopps.

OU, A&M, Texas, Baylor Face Off in Red River

Texas looks to its home opener in the Red River Conference this weekend, as they host Baylor following a workmanlike 27-0 shutout of TCU last week.

The longhorns were supposed to have opened up conference play a month ago, but Texas Tech canceled. Still the Longhorns should be in comfortable position this early in the fall.
