A Look at DIAA Fall Playoffs
The DIAA Fall playoff picture is clearing a little bit as USA Rugby works on the brackets.
Here's how it looks to be shaking out:
Gamebreakers - Zack Forro
Zack Forro is a hard-charging center for Notre Dame College. He had to miss his team’s game against Navy because he was called up for military service (he’s in the US Army Reserve), but was back for this past weekend’s clash with Davenport.
Notre Dame College Edges Davenport in Game of Weekend
In perhaps the most dramatic and most closely-watched clash of the weekend, despite it being a non-conference game, Notre Dame College edged Davenport University 26-24.
The game was a back-and-forth affair in a game of contrasting styles. Davenport used a methodical, phase play approach, while NDC looked to be patient, play smart defense, and make big-play opportunities count.
Gamebreakers - Corey Graham
A couple of years ago Corey Graham missed a season with Notre Dame College because of illness, but the slick-running flyhalf is all fine now, and making other teams pay.
Notre Dame College Beats Navy
Notre Dame College used defensive pressure to stymie a tough US Naval Academy side and come away with an impressive 27-8 victory over the Midshipmen in South Euclid, Ohio Saturday.
