USA College 7s Championships - Men DI Our Picks
Well we’re now into the final two weekends of the College 7s season. We’re going to preview all four brackets at the USA Rugby College 7s Nationals, and give you some ideas on who we think will win.
First off, the Men’s DI:
Pool A
Central Washington
Kennesaw State
New England College
South Carolina
Boys HS Nationals - Our Picks
The Goff Rugby Report rankings are generally pretty accurate, but sometimes they don’t hold true on major matchups.
Why? Often that’s because a team that had a couple of setbacks early in the season and those losses are still on the team’s record, but now, with injured players back or the team simply improving, they might be a better opponent.
How Davis Women Won
May 7 brought us five college championships games in Moraga, Calif, and the final one - one that might have been missed by the elated, the dejected, and the exhausted - turned out to be the most dramatic.
Why Davenport Won
There's more to this story than just who won. The women's DII championship matchup turned out the way it did because Tulane, who won the Spring Final, couldn't make it - so we're going to talk about that for a second.
Why Penn State Won
Penn State is not any stranger to the women’s national final The Nittany Lions, in fact, have been in the Big Game 20 times in the last 22 years. That’s right, 20 out of 22. So it’s not really a surprise that Penn State made the final.
And going into the final, they were 10-9 in the final, so you could be forgiven for assuming one outcome or the other.
