Take 3: Quinnipiac v Army for Varsity Title
The top-two-ranked varsity teams, Quinnipiac and Army, won their NCVWRA semifinals against Norwich and American International College, respectively, and head to the first-ever varsity championship. The finalists split their regular-season matches by a total of five points, so a good game should evolve.
Quinnipiac Resolute in Army Win
The Quinnipiac vs. Army game pit the varsity league’s top two teams against each other in a game that would bring the squads’ relative improvements into focus. When the squads competed on Sept. 12, the Black Knights staged a brilliant comeback to win 29-24.
Wildcats Eager for East Coast Double-Header
More friendlies await for Central Washington, but this weekend is arguably the most exciting for the Wildcats this fall. The Ellensburg team is on the east coast, and will play Norwich and Quinnipiac in an all-varsity double-header.
Life Goes 1-1 on Varsity Tour
The 2014-15 season was an unforgettable one for Life University, which competed in its first DI season and finished third at the national spring championships. The Running Eagles then followed with a debut performance at the CRC 7s and sent a representative to the first-ever Women’s Collegiate All American 7s team, which won the Elite City 7s.
Frosh Roskopf Leads QU Try-Scorers
First it was Army, and now it’s Quinnipiac that has banked its first-ever 15s win against Norwich. The Bobcats traveled to Northfield, Vt., for this all-varsity matchup and returned to Connecticut with a 48-19 victory (read more).
