Louisville Wins MAC 7s
Louisville defeated Bowling Green in the final of the Mid American Conference 7s over the weekend.
Many of the knockout games were close, with Louisville edging Pitt 20-14 in the semis. Bowling Green won one of the rare lopsided games, taking their semi 40-7 over Ohio University.
Mid American Conference Names All-Conference Selections
The Mid American Conference has named its all-conference selections.
Conference champions Louisville has four players in the 1st team all-conference and conference runner's up have six. The 1st team all-conference selection includes a 16th, utility player. The list is led by Western Michigan prop Ivan Delgado, Louisville lock Chris Jensvold, and Pitt fullback Chris Hanak.

Bowling Green repeated as Mid-American Conference Champions Sunday, beating Western Michigan 48-15 in the final and making it six finals wins since 2014.

IUPUI needed a Cincinnati loss (which they got) and an IUPUI win (they lost 31-24 to Louisville) to make the semis, and just missed. Bonus points almost, but not quite, mixed up the standings. WMU's penchant for scoring tries even if they lose, and IUPUI's two close losses almost got them up a spot.

Bowling Green beat IUPUI 26-12 and Western Michigan got by Cincinnati 37-20 to solidify the top four in the Mid American Conference.
