The University of Arizona laid down something of a market Saturday with a convincing 47-8 defeat of UCLA in PAC Rugby Conference action.
For Arizona, the last couple of years have been a bit up and down as the Wildcats have developed a core of young players. Head Coach Sean Duffy said this game was an indication that the youngsters are starting to take over.

St. Mary's opened up their two-date tour of Arizona with an impressive 73-7 defeat of the University of Arizona Wildcats Friday night in Tucson.
Arizona was missing four players who are at the USA U20 camp, however, this was still a solid Gaels outing. St. Mary's led 30-7 at halftime and exploded for 43 unanswered points in the second half.

It was a bittersweet moment for Amy Naber. The 24-year-old was playing in her final 15s match for the University of Arizona, and it was against in-state rival Arizona State. If ASU won, then the Sun Devils had a good shot at DI playoffs; if not, then the seed would go to UC Santa Barbara. So Naber scored four tries, and the Wildcats won 45-34.
