NAI7s Announces Changes for 2017
The North American Invitational 7s tournament has made changes to the 2017 tournament, working with USA Rugby to level the playing field in the open divisions, and to secure both a referee training course and panel refs for tournament.
Utah Academy for Boys Elite 7s
The Utah Rugby Academy has named its Boys team for the HS Elite 7s bracket at the Las Vegas Invitational.
This group includes five returning from last year's team, along with four players who moved up from last year's development team. This is the core of the Academy program that will compete for the NAHS 7s title at the NAI 7s in Salt Lake City in August.
USA South Girls Picked for Vegas
The USA SOUTH Panther U18 girls team has been selected after an assembly this past weekend in Nashville, Tenn.
Almost 100 At South All-Star Tryout
The USA South Panthers held a well-attended weekend camp Feb 4-5 with a total of 98 boys and girls looking to be selected for one of several South all-star teams to play this year.
Gamebreakers - Taysan Hammer
Herriman HS back Taysan Hammer is leading the team in tries so far in the Utah Youth Rugby Fall 7s Series.
Hammer has scored 18 tries in ten games so far, and his coach said Hammer has made strides this fall.
