The new CRAA Challenger Cup has its finalists as Grand Canyon and Mary Washington won their semifinals by wide margins.
GCU beat a tough Utah State team 72-6 to advance. USU took an early lead with a penalty from Franco Tellechea and stayed on the strong foot for quite a while. However, GCU's defense was up to the task.

Two Wins on the Weekend for Cal
GRR's #1-ranked Cal team came out of the weekend with two victories.
On Saturday, Cal defeated Grand Canyon 86-21. This is a rebuilding GCU side, and they got a bit of a lesson rom an experienced Golden Bears outfit.
Scrumhalf Cormac Saint scored the opening two tries of the game and added six conversions, all in the first half, for 22 points on his own.
Stanford Storms Through to CRAA D1 Women Title
The Stanford Women's Rugby team clinched the CRAA Women's D1 Championship title in a game that saw them victorious over Grand Canyon University 'Lopes with a final score of 36-19 on May 5th.
BYU Downs GCU in First Game of Arizona Trip
BYU won the first game of their two-match tour of Arizona, beating Grand Canyon University 64-12 Thursday night in Phoenix.
Tayson Hammer scored four tries in the game and logged a total of 34 points in the Cougars' victory.
For GCU, this was a quick turnaround after dropping a similar score—69-7— to Cal on Saturday.
