GRR: NIRA Women
Championship weekend in NIRA is soon upon us but first we need to know who will play there.
And while there do seem to be favorites in both D-I and D-II, we could certainly see things shift.
The big question about NIRA, at least for us at GRR World Headquarters, is whether there could have been a different setup of semifinalists.
Yes, Dartmouth was always going to be #1. And yes, Harvard was pretty ensconced at 2nd.
So the question was, could Sacred Heart or Quinnipiac or even Queens have broke into that top four.
This is the final weekend of the regular-season for NIRA; here’s what’s up.
D-IOn the march up the standings, Brown hung on this past weekend to beat Army 40-33 this past week.
That game was quite the thriller and ended in dramatic fashion. Down 40-14 Army scored three tries to make it 40-33 with the clock ticking away.
Army's victory over Quinnipiac gave the Black Knights a huge boost in the NIRA Power Rankings that not only moved them up to third, but to put them on the doorstep of 2nd.
Harvard defeated a very tough Queens University Charlotte Saturday to the tune of 60-17.
It was an impressive road win for the Crimson, paced by four tries from Lennox London and tries from Josephine Mignone, PK Vincze, Chloe Headland, Charlotte Gilmour, Nafanua Fitisemanu, and Ava Ferrence.
