Davenport made some history Saturday, beating Life University for the first time ever.
It's been 20 losses in a row for Davenport against the Running Eagles, but the Panthers continue to persevere and this year had enjoyed a very strong buildup.
The #2-ranked team in the Eastern half of D1A, the Lindenwood Lions, downed the Arkansas State Red Wolves 41-10 in the quarterfinals of the D1A Playoffs Saturday.
The Lions scored 34 unanswered points after being down 10-7 in the first half. Lindenwood was led in scoring by Evan Williams with 16 points, and Nick Hardrict II with two tries.
Lindenwood put an emphatic stamp on their Mid-South season with a 39-7 defeat of Life University Saturday.
With the victory, the Lions ended the Mid-South season 6-0. Life, who were playing without sparkplug halfback Isham-eel Safodien, dropped to 4-2.
