Hough Huskies won their 4th North Carolina boys fall 7s this past weekend, defeating a very tough Marvin Ridge in the final.
Led by captain Porter Kuebler, who has enjoyed an excellent fall and was the star of the day also, the Huskies held off Marvin Ridge 19-12.
Max Colson, Patrick Kuebler, and Andrew Brown all scored tries for Hough.
But that wasn’t all.
Waverly-Shell Rock High School Girls upset the unbeaten Cedar Falls to win the Iowa YRA Girls 7s championship Sunday.
St. Ignatius of Cleveland won the Rugby Ohio Boys HS 7s on Sunday, but despite the final score of the final it wasn’t an easy run.
The tournament was a straight bracket, with eight teams in a quarterfinal, followed by cup semifinals and consolation semifinals, and then the placement games.

Rugby Ohio's 7s season comes to a close this coming weekend with one team in a position of heavy favorite.
But, of course, that isn't always a welcome position to be in.

Cedar Falls, Waverly Shell Rock, Southeast Polk, and Central Springs are the top four teams in the Iowa Youth Rugby Girls 7s after this week's results.
But Central Springs is surging after two shutout wins on Monday, 31-0 over West Des Moines,and 34-0 over Mason City.
They are looking to run down Fort Dodge, which won a key game over Norwalk on Monday.
