USA Rugby has named the 16 teams to play for the USA Women's Collegiate 7s championships.
The tournament will be held May 23-24 at the University of Denver.
The list includes Cal, which won two qualifiers, and other qualifier winners Penn State, Princeton, Virginia and Texas.

USA Rugby has named the teams for the Men’s DI and DII College 7s Championships to be held May 23 and 24 at the University of Denver.
North Texas won the round robin SWC 7s tournament Saturday, beating Texas A&M in what amounted to the championship game, and earning a spot in the USA Rugby Men’s Collegiate 7s Championships.
Led by MVP performances from Jon Hiller, Michael Bliss, and Hame Havili, UNT defeated Texas A&M 31-28 to secure the tournament.
In case you’ve forgotten (and I have to admit I almost did), the USA Men’s 7s team is competing in a World Series 7s tournament this coming weekend.
Head Coach Mike Friday replaced Nic Edwards with Martin Iosefo in a move of startling logic, and we’re now seeing more and more the profile of the team Friday wants.
With Texas A&M winning the Red River 7s this past weekend, we are a little closer to figuring out who is in the 24-team Men’s DI College 7s Championships in Denver.
Of the 21 qualifier tournaments, one, the Southwest Conference 7s, remains. However, of the 20 qualifier winners so far, nine will instead attend the CRC invitational in Chester, Pa.
