Some interesting college 7s action this weekend.

Salve Regina went 6-0 to win the Colonial Coast Rugby Rugby Conference 7s Saturday, and garner a spot at USA Rugby's Men's DII College 7s Championships in Cary, NC in May. 

Salve defeated Endicott in the final behind Connor Murphy's two tries. Murphy was named MVP of the final.

Ardmore, Pa. —The Naval Academy has joined the ranks of teams competing at the 2016 ACRC7s in Virginia Beach at the Sportsplex, April 30-May 1.

Matches take place Saturday from 10am-4pm and Sunday from 10am-3pm. Admission is $5 per day (kids under 12 free).

One of the stranger developments in the past weekend in college 7s was the fact that Colgate did not appear for the Empire Conference’s final tournament - now don’t be thinking Colgate bailed late or simply didn’t feel like showing up, this was planned.

Boston College won the ACRL 7s, overcoming an impressive field of college teams.

The University of Minnesota-Duluth won the Fool's Fest Men's DII college bracket at Winona State in Minnesota.

The win qualifies the Fighting Penguins for a spot in the USA Rugby's DII 7s championships. UW-Eau Claire finished 2nd, and Winona 3rd.
