A Few Thoughts on Dubai

A few thoughts about the USA’s performance in Dubai:

Did you notice that Mike Friday started Kevin Swiryn and Will Holder in the 3rd/4th game against New Zealand?

After using only two subs in the last-second loss to England in the semifinals, Friday Nate Augspurger, Will Holder, Kevin Swiryn, and Carlin Isles. He didn’t use Maka Unufe and Madison Hughes at all.

Eagles Need Historic Win to Make Cup QFs

The USA Men’s 7s team is in the Cup Quarterfinals of the Dubai 7s despite a difficult hiccup in pool play.

USA Defeats NZ, Move to Cup QF

The USA Men's 7s Team had to defeat New Zealand if it wanted a shot at the Dubai 7s Cup Quarterfinals. The Eagles then needed some help from France - or Portugal, really - to beat Les Bleus in the standings. The USA got the results it wanted: a 14-12 injury-time win over New Zealand, and two more points than France in the point differential column for the Cup berth.
