Column - What We Saw from the Eagles 7s in Dubai and Cape Town
The USA Men’s 7s team finished 9th in Dubai and tied for 7th in Cape Town, winning six and losing five over the course of the two tournaments, but was that all they could do?
Instead of giving you a blow-by-blow account (it’s all on video anyway), I thought I’d give you some observations on where this team is after those first two tournaments, and what I saw.
Eagles Confirmed for Toyota Field in San Antonio
LAFAYETTE, Colo. (USA Rugby Release) – San Antonio’s Toyota Field will host the USA Rugby Men’s Eagles match against Uruguay in the opening round of the Americas Rugby Championship 2017. This marks the first time in USA Rugby history that the Eagles will play international competition in the Alamo City.
USA U20 Campers Named
USA Rugby has named the list of players to attend two different camps to scout players for the Men's Junior All Americans (the USA U20 team).
The West Evaluation Camp is heavy on high school players from California, with the Danville Oaks, naturally, producing several athletes. The Central Evaluarion Camp drawas from all over the country, with a lightly more college-heavy group.
Eagles Confirmed at Round Rock
LAFAYETTE, Colo.(USA Rugby Press Release) – Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas, will host its second international test rugby match in a year this coming February when the Men’s Eagles take on Brazil in the Americas Rugby Championship 2017 competition.
Eagle Men Get Consolation Trophy in Dubai
The USA Men’s National 7s team rebounded from a disappointing Day One to win the consolation bracket at the Dubai 7s Saturday.
