Two Close Games help D1 Elite Shine It was a weekend of very close games in D1 Elite, which is good news for the league. CWU Edges BYU Central Washington held off BYU 22-20 to improve to 3-4 in D1 Elite competition. BYU has had a tough time in the move up to D1 Elite, but it was a move that had to happen, and this result, on the road, was a good one for the Cougars.
Stanford, BYU Move On in CRAA Women D1 Playoffs
Stanford defeated Grand Canyon 39-22 in the CRAA Women's D1 spring quarterfinals Friday at Steuber Rugby Stadium in Palo Alto, Calif.
Also in Stanford BYU took on Cal and Sac State played San Diego State in a D2 quarterfinal. Sac State beat SD SU 41-12.

GCU, BYU Pushing to Tops in Pacific Desert
Grand Canyon looked very solid in moving to 2-1 in the women's Pacific Desert Conference, beating UCSD 43-0 over the weekend.
Zariah Faaopega scored two tries for the 'Lopes, as did Chloe Geryol. Maleah Stewart, CYnthia Fonoinmoana, and Sofia Rico also scored tries, while Bianca Curtis added three conversions and Samantha Garcia added one more.
