GRR: North Carolina State
A year after winning the Men's DII College championship, North Carolina State might be going to the fall DIAA playoffs.
The Wolfpack won the runner-up playoff Saturday against Salisbury, defeating the Sharks 24-15 in the playoff between the #2 and #3 team in the conference.
As has been the case all season, the game was close.
Without playing this weekend, NC State did what it needed to do and will be in the 2nd-vs-3rd playoff in the Chesapeake Conference.
Furman University is hoping to the home of a champion, and it certainly could be that in the Men’s DII College Playoffs.
Furman, of course, is hosting a bracket in the Round of 16/quarterfinals, and Furman is also playing in that self-same bracket. And whichever team wins that bracket will play in a final four at … yes you saw where we were going with this … Furman University.
North Carolina State exploited their superior speed and athleticism to torch Texas State 63-7 in Friday night’s second ACRC Bowl game.
