The Southern California Varsity White team defeated rival San Pasqual 20-17, moving to 4-1 and 1st place in the SoCal Varsity White San Diego North division. But it's worth noting that all but one game San Marcos has played has been decided by less than a try.
San Pasqual defeated Calrsbad in a notable early-season meeting in SoCal's Varsity White division.
Carlsbad had come into the game 1-0 in league play while San Pasqual was 1-0-1 after a somewhat surprising tie with Mira Mesa before the Christmas break.
This time around, San Pasqual put in a better performance and came away 34-17 winners.

University City edged Wilson High School in overtime, while Los Alamitos put San Pasqual to the sword 53-31 to make the Varsity White final.

Wilson HS defeated San Marcos 35-15 in one of those quarterfinals. San Pasqual hammered Santiago 44-7. Los Alamitos defeated La Jolla by a wide margin (officially recorded score 66-26), and University City beat the San Clemente HS Tritons 40-24.
