High School Boys
In a bit of a statement result #1-ranked school team St. Ignatius defeated #7 club team Aspetuck 45-14 Saturday.
Aspetuck provided a stern test for the Wildcats and got two spectacular tries from flyhalf Pearson Hill, but found difficult exerting control over Ignatius in tight.
Well over 200 teams are in action this weekend with some playoffs and championships and some notable cross-border high-ranked matchups.
The last two weeks have been pretty busy, and we have a lot of players to recognize all over the nation.
Ian Murra, Cedar FallsIn the Iowa Boys 7s league, Murra leads the entire state with 11 tries in seven matches played.
Not a lot of changes up at the top as everyone did pretty much as expected, but we have a lot of changed further down.
This was an interesting School Top 50 to work with because we did have a couple of lower-ranked teams beating higher-ranked teams.
We also had the Gonzaga Tournament, which gave us a lot of comparisons (albeit in a short-form context).
