GRR: Southern Rugby Conference
The Southern Rugby Conference has set its schedule for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Several collegiate conferences are starting to confirm their seasons and that's good news for college rugby in America as we may well see something very close to a normal season.
The Southern Rugby Conference Board has voted to cancel any rugby for the fall of 2020.
The conference, which recently announced a joining with NCR, and is a robust, two-tiered Men's DII collegiate competition, decided unanimously to move all rugby to the spring, with 15s and 7s still on the table.
As expected the dominoes are quickly falling in men's college rugby this fall, with conferences that play their 15s season in the fall announcing (or at least making it very clear) that they will not be playing as normal because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We're running down the playoff picture on Men's DII college conferences and now it's time to look at the South, with the Southern, SCRC, and Cardinals conferences.
