Men DII College Rankings
Such a great time of year for ranking DII colleges, as everyone is active and playing meaningful games.
This past weekend was very educational for us in many ways, and almost every team moved up or down.
Some quick housekeeping items: Iowa Central and Sam Houston State are in DIAA now so they are taken out of this ranking.
The Mid-Atlantic Men's DII College playoffs started last week, but they didn't actually happen.
Villanova beat York 40-21, while Lehigh beat Shippensburg 23-3.
We have some serious changes in the lower half of the Top 40.
We drop four teams out and it's not done lightly. RPI won a playoff game, but drops out because the win was very close with a team that hasn't done a lot, so while RPI could ump back up with a solid showing this coming weekend, they drop out now. Why?
As we talk about rankings we have said several times that there are results you finally have to move aside.
Last week we bailed on picking some games because we weren't sure about them, but of the games we had the guts to pick, we were right on 25 and wrong on four, which is a success rate of 86%.
Not bad, and we did get one winning margin exactly right and a couple of others one or two points off. So we'll take it.
