Virginia Tech takes on Clemson Saturday in a game that will likely crown the winner of the Atlantic Coast Rugby League (ACRL).
Clemson continues to roll in the ACRL with a 60-14 defeat of North Carolina State that has all but clinched the conference for the Tigers.
After a long trip to Raleigh, NC, Clemson managed to start the game well, and worked the phases nicely to score two tries and a penalty kick in the first 15 minutes.
Clemson moved to 4-0 Sunday with a 24-11 defeat of Virginia in ACRL action.
The Tigers, who are slated to clash with AIC in the ACRC Bowl Series, ran out a mostly freshman lineup againt UVA after sending a more veteran group to beat Maryland on Friday. The test of the Clemson depth produced good results, although it wasn't easy on Sunday.
Clemson University moved to 3-0 in the Atlantic Coast Rugby League with a workmanlike 30-8 defeat of #34 Maryland Friday evening.
Only two games into their ACRL season, NC State is now feeling pretty good after upending Maryland 26-22.
The result was a little bit of an upset - NC State was ranked #36 by Goff Rugby Report, and Maryland #32 - but not much. Still, it’s a big weekend for the Wolfpack and their aspirations in the ACRL.
