High School Girls
Doylestown’s done it again. The reigning girls high school 7s champ has added another title to the record books, going undefeated at last weekend’s state championship and defeating Downingtown 12-5 in the final.
Michigan begins its girls high school post-season this weekend, and has an unconventional set-up that gets all of the teams involved. There are two pools of three, and each group will play a round robin on Sunday. The victors from each pool will play for the state championship the following weekend.
The Wisconsin State Championship is the highlight of the girls high school fall season – for more reasons than the trophy it affords. Divine Savior Holy Angels (DSHA) and Catholic Memorial High (CMH) have competed in the previous five title games, building toward this finale
Although New York and New Jersey award separate 15 titles in the spring, the ranks thin in the fall as other sports contend for athletes’ attention.
For the fifth year in a row, Divine Savior Holy Angels and Catholic Memorial will meet in the Wisconsin Girls High School State Championship. But there is a whole slate of games ready to take place this Sunday, Oct. 25 in Milwaukee.
