High School Boys
As is usually the case, HS clubs take a little longer to get on the field than single-school teams.
They have more to do in recruiting, and with the main league that plays in December, Southern California, a single-school group of teams, we will have to wait a bit for most league games.
It's still very early in the HS season, and we expect to see a number of changes all through the list.
Right now, with Southern California very active, those teams have more opportunities to get results that move them up. That's what is happening now. After this weekend's quarterfinals in the SoCal Varsity White, we'll see some teams drop down and others move up.
The Marin Highlanders looked very good in an opening non-conference game this past weekend in Northern California, shutting out Lamorinda.
The teams played a very tight first half. It's early in the season so all the links weren't quite there offensively, while both teams were happy to ramp up the physicality. Marin ented the break up only 5-0.
Servite HS produced a huge victory over the weekend, defeating Los Alamitos 57-22 to win the OC Coast Conference in Southern California's Varsity White division.
The playoff spots in the Boys SoCal Varsity White division are pretty much st now after the final regular-season games are done.
