A few late scores fuel these rankings and some major shifts.
F5 moves up six spots and Golden Eagles move up seven thanks to their results at Nash Bash and the the Gonzaga Classic. We think that the top four are on one level and then there's a tier to about 14 or 15 after that.
But at #1 ... Charlotte Cardinals has hardly put a foot wrong.
We have some serious changes and that's what's so great about Spring Break time, because various tournaments and trips test teams and give us something cross-border-like to watch.
The Charlotte Cardinals won the Gonzaga Classic in dominant fashion.
After losing the final of this tournament by a slim margin a year ago, the Cardinals rolled in showing good form and showcasing a very quick and smart game plan.
They showed that early, shutting out Aspetuck and beating a pretty effective Fort Hunt sides 52-7.
Georgetown Prep defeated visiting St. Augustine out of New Jersey Saturday, beating the Hermits 21-14.
It was St. Augustine's first loss on the spring and was a competitive, well-played game from both.
Prep went up 7-0 on a try from senior wing George Murphy, who was set up by a pass from No. 8 Kian Khonsari.
