Recruiting for college rugby programs is a tough part of the head coaching job, and when you’re starting a program from scratch, it can be even tougher.
Six college 15s champions were crowned over the weekend; here's a quick look at them all.
Saturday sees Aveva Stadium in Houston as the venue for the College Rugby Association of American 8x8 Sports 15s Championship Weekend.
The event will have two major college 15s national championship games, plus two more spring championship games.
The Men's D1A Final will be held at 6PM Central Time Saturday, with Saint Mary's taking on Army West Point.
The College Rugby Association spring championships weekend is set for April 30 at Aveva Stadium in Houston with four major titles set to be handed out.
Three of those will be for women, including the Spring Championships for D2 and D1. The D2 semifinals will actually be held on Friday, April 29 leading into the championship day.
Four separate college conferences in the Northeast have joined together to run a series of 7s tournaments this spring.
