Goff Rankings
We don't have a lot of explanation here for our final DIAA rankings of the fall.
Iowa Central was ranked #2 going into the final, and beat Western Michigan. WMU did well enough to keep #2 at the moment, but remember that several of these teams have games to play in the spring.
Here is our final Men's DII 15s rankings for the 2019 fall season.
Picking the #1 is fairly easy. The big concern on Queens had been that they hadn't played opponents whose strength we were sure of, and they had a loss to NSCRO team Southern Virginia in there, too. Even so, Queens we never lower than #8, and bumped up to #2 after the first rounds of the playoffs.
There's little doubt that the national champion crowned on December 8 will be our #1 as every team in that final four has done more than just win a couple of playoff games, but has been consistently strong.
Well, well, what to do.
As often happens, the playoffs shake up the rankings pretty nicely. The question, as has been the question all season, is what results do you push aside and what results do you hold onto?
Chief among these results:
Kentucky over Lindenwood-Belleville 17-14 on October 19.
Lindenwood-Belleville 33-16 over Iowa Central CC on October 9.
Well there's not a lot to say here. We had just a few Round 1 playoff games, and most went according to expectations.
The one game in which the lower-ranked team was victorious was #21 Lehigh over #18 North Carolina 18-15. Lehigh moves up.
