South Carolina’s winter 15s league play concluded this past Saturday in Columbia, SC.
Snow and cold weather hit a few parts of the country not ued to it, so we had a few cancelations and postponements.
The Louisiana teams battled through some snow, although we did have one game moved to later because of the snow. Bless their hearts down there in the bayou but they don't really have the resources to handle a snowstorm.
With rough weather and cold leading to games being called off, but the cold snap broke in South Carolina, allowing games to be held.
The Greer 76ers took on Wando and Cape Fear, and beat them both.
The Greer 76ers Rugby Club won the South Carolina Varsity Boys High School State Championship on Saturday, defeating Oceanside Collegiate Academy 20-14.
GRR caught up with the new Nelson College Scholarship recipients JW Sarkees and Connor Bender.
The two will join the New Zealand school to study and play rugby in April and stay through the Northern Hemisphere summer. It will be a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience for both.
