Lindenwood beat Central Washington and BYU beat Grand Canyon in the latest action in D1 Elite Women.
With the win, Lindenwood joins CWU and Life with two wins, but Lindenwood has no losses and has defeated both of those other two-win teams. BYU improved to 1-1.
The D1 Elite women's slate of games this past weekend resulted in two shutouts.
For Central Washington, the Wildcats defeated Grand Canyon 79-0 in Phoenix. Meanwhile, defending champions Lindenwood looked very impressive in a 27-0 defeat of longtime rivals Life University at Lindenwood's campus.
D1 Elite is starting to heat up and it will be interesting to see how this league develops with new teams and, once again, a changed schedule.
Life University is now 2-0 in Women's D1 Elite after defeating Central Washington in Ellensburg, Wash. Saturday.
After a year of experimenting with a fall-only 15s schedule the women’s D1 Elite league is back to a fall-spring run, with two extra teams.
Life, Lindenwood, and Penn State are now the eastern half of the league, with BYU, Grand Canyon, and Central Washington in the western side.
