MA Sorensen Award Finalist Sue Adegoke
Susan Adegoke is one of four finalists for the MA Sorensen Award as the top women's college rugby player in the country for the 2020-2021 season.
"Su has devastating footwork that allows her to slither out of, and break, tackles," said Life University Head Coach Rosalind Chou. The film below shows Adegoke beating defenders, but it's worth noting that she's beating very, very good players, including players who have been nominated for the Sorensen Award.
She's a snappy offloader who passes with precision, so she's not just a finisher.
"Su doesn't have a tryline fever mentality," said Chou. "She's a finesse player who can find paydirt, but also pass and offload in tight situations. She's also a great defending jackler, turning over the ball in vital points of a match. However, what has impressed me the most is her growth as a student-athlete, with a 3.9 GPA last quarter. She continues to mature and grow in many different realms."
