GRR: Rankings
We have changed our D1 (D1AA) and D1A rankings. This is basically down to where we include the Liberty teams.
We warned you that there would be major changes in the rankings in the opening weeks, and so, yes, this week, Week 2, we have major changes.
First off, we feel unhappy about having to drop out Shippensburg, UW-Platteville, Thomas More, and William Paterson. Their only crime, really, is not having played when others played. Expect to see these teams come back.
This may be the last time you see these rankings in this specific form.
With the split of NCR and CRAA and ACR and all the rest of it we're thinking of making a couple of adjustments. Rest assured, we'll still be ranking D1A teams and D1AA teams, but we'll probably change it a little.
This is our second week of what we're calling the All-D1 rankings, which basically takes out the CRAA teams (that's the easiest way to explain it).
We have several changes, which is something we warned you about. Our early rankings are based on the best information available and when the actual games happen, we have better data.
This week we unveil our Men's D1 College rankings.
Now, there's a lot to say about all of this, although much of what will be said will be said by the teams on the field. What we'll say now is this:
