10.17.2024 - GRR Staff

The USA Men’s Eagles finish up their 2024 with three test matches in Europe, taking on Portugal, Tonga, and Spain.

Head Coach Scott Lawrence has named 30 players for the tour, and also a further 17 who are non-traveling reserves. A further 12 players have been named as those who might have been picked, but are injured or unavailable.

The 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup pools are set after Thursday's draw held in London.

The USA is in one of the toughest pools, quite possibly the most competitive pool, in Pool A. Canada, meanwhile, is nicely-placed to win their pool.

USA Men's 7s superstar Perry Baker has announced he is retiring from the USA 7s program.

Baker appeared in three Olympics, two Rugby World Cup Sevens, 71 HSBC SVNS tournaments, and won two World Rugby Player of the Year awards. He retires having scored 293 tries in SVNS tournaments, which bested only by England's Dan Norton.

Vancouver, BC - The USA lost 26-14 to Ireland in their final WXV 1 game, and it was a tough way to end it.

The Eagles were definitely on the wrong side of the referee's whistle and as the penalties piled up a 14-7 lead with about 20 to go evaporated in a series of whistles, cards, and discipline breakdowns.

When she runs onto the first Friday Hope Rogers will earn her 50th cap.

The 2016 MA Sorensen Award-winner has been an Eagle for 11 years, but injuries have lurked, forcing her off the team on occasion. Still, one of the best props in women’s rugby anywhere, has made it to 50.
