High School Girls
Fallbrook and South Bay played two very different styles in their respective national finals, but they were incredibly effective in producing big wins.
Fallbrook won its 5th consecutive Girls High School National Invitational Championship, defeating Kent 41-0 in today’s final. Kent had its opportunities for points, but the Warriors’ defense and ability to steal possession kept the shutout in place.
It was an exciting first day at the Girls High School National Invitational Championship, and for the fifth time in the previous six years, it’s two West Coast teams that are still undefeated in DI. Southern California’s Fallbrook will look for title number five against Washington’s Kent in tomorrow’s championship match (10:30 a.m. ET).
