Game one of their tour of Ireland saw the St. Augustine Hermits lose to Good Counsel College in New Ross, County Wexford, but it was a hugely beneficial experience regardless.
The Raleigh Redhawks opened their 2020 season with an impressive showing, beating single-school #4 Gonzaga HS 17-14 on Sunday.
It was a defensive battle throughout and neither team was able to find much space.
The Redhawks scored first, with flyhalf Aidan Laros selling a dummy and taking a strong line to paydirt. Laros added the extras and Raleigh had a 7-0 lead.
The St. Augustine Hermits are on tour in Ireland and have found that while you can't ignore worried about coronavirus, you can travel and be safe and still have a great time.
Xavier HS defeated Fort Hunt 44-25 Sunday in a game between the GRR #6 single-school and the #4 HS Club.
Royal Irish surged in the second half to come back and beat St. Edward 28-26 in the opening game for the perennial national title contenders.
